In follow up to my old post about this messenger I have discovered it to be slow and dreadful. It takes forever to receive a message. Also all accessibility is broke as to JAWS shortcuts. In essence. Do not upgrade at all.

ll this is a bit of a debateable subject because there are some serious improvements in this version of Live Messenger. The biggest is the new ability to have resources just like JABBER has. This is especially cool for someone like me who has one account shared by 5 devices. Also it seems to be less RAM intensive. Also in ways JAWS reads it a little better, but here is where the problems start and I get reminded of Miranda. This is because all the JAWS shortcuts that are so loved are now so dead. This is at least the case with JAWS 9.0.2169. Although at the same time you can still use Tab and Shift+Tab to navigate just fine through the chat.
So everyone feel free to let me know how you feel about this new update to Windows Live Messenger in the Comments.

Well It has been a fair while that I have had my MacBook Pro. I still find it to be a very rliable machine. I have also just recently redone the VMWare image, so it could be nice and trimmed down. It is now a measley 20 GB. Also for those of you how are VoiceOver users or are lookinga at getting a mac and are blind or visually impaired will be very happy to hear the iWork Apple's own office suite is now accessible. Not only that many things that were a pain in Word are easy in Pages (iWork equivelant to Word) Such as Track Changes, Headers and footers, and footnotes and endnotes. Also Keynote (Apple Equivelant to PowerPoint) is accessible. in fact it seems easier to work then PowerPoint itself. Numbers (Apple's equivelant to Excel) on the other hand still has some Voice Over bugs to work out involving rows.
Wow this post has gone on way longer then Expected. In a summary go get iWork '09 if you already have a mac, if not, there is now one more reason to.

Hey All.
I Know this Journal has been kind of quiet larely. But I am hoping to change that. I will now change the focus of this blog from more personal to A Tech Blog. It will feature anything from Apple News, to Windows and even Access Technology such as VoiceOver and JAWS.
So keep your eyes peeled for news Reviews and what tech I can get my hands on to tell you about.

Well It is out Windows Vista is out. This is bad very bad. Vista is just a system hog. It showed be banned from existance. On another note Windows Live Messenger 8.1 has been released so go take a look it is cool. It now holds your display pic sub name and color options server side. So go get it. Now Remember Avoid Vista. I am probably going to tri-boot. Due to the fact that Some things soon will only work on Vista so I will tri-boot between XP Media Center, Vista Ultimate, and Ubuntu. That is my thing for the day.
